On 12 January 2016 Prof. Lionel Posthumus from the Univesity of Johannesburg, who was our guest at the Department, presented a lecture on The teaching of African languages.

Bayero University from Kano

On 2-10 December 2015 we were honoured to host a visit of delegates from the Bayero University, Kano.

dr Martin Benjamin

30 November 2015 at the Department of African Languages and Cultures dr Martin Benjamin will present a lecture  "Polish and other "exotic" languages: constructing a global linguistic data infrastructure".   

Dr Benjamin develops dictionary, learning, and information technology resources for languages worldwide. He is the founder and chief editor of KamusiGold.
